Description: This violin has a one piece flamed maple back and a hand-rubbed warm redish brown oil finish.  The spruce in the top is of a high quality with narrow grain.  The final set-up work is done by Reed Bernstein, which is a $400 value.  These instruments have a powerful, surprisingly sophisticated sound, with a lovely response profile that is pleasing under the ear.

Finish: Rubbed Oil Finish. Warm look mildly antiqued.

Strings: Pirastro Tonica

Pegs: Handfitted Perfection Planetary Pegs take all the stress out of tuning (a $200 value.)

Tailpiece: Wittner Ultra

Setup: What separates us from other online companies is Reed’s knowledge of acoustics and setup work that maximizes tonal quality and playability.  All factory fittings that do not meet our standards go into the trash (which is most)!!!  The bridge, soundpost, neck finishing, pegs, fingerboard planing, nut adjustment, and critical sound adjustments are all done in-house. And we do not charge any extra for this!

Open seams are repaired free of charge for as long as you own the instrument.  Send the instrument back via insured carrier, and the return shipping is on us.
