Bernstein violins is a full service bowed instrument shop offering excellent values on instruments and instrument outfits. I work closely with several trusted suppliers, and every instrument that goes out of the shop is carefully set up to maximize playabiltiy and sound, including a hand fitted bridge, soundpost, fingerboard, nut, etc. The final adjustment process includes a subtle fine tuning the individual harmonic relationships in the instrument, making each one noticeably more refined and therefore more pleasing to the player.
The intention is to match the player up with something that they can fall in love with. When you call I will ask questions about the player, and about which qualities in an instrument you may already have identified for yourself as being important. I will assist with suggestions as to what is an appropriate budget if that is something that you need, and I will let you know if a little more or a little less makes sense given all of the information that you present. I have a great intuition and I apply that into the mix as well.
